Shopping for the perfect present for the holidays? Looking for an experience rather than another seldom-used item? Want to give something that won’t clutter your house?

Give the gift of parks and recreation during the holidays – and at any time of year!

Purchase a gift certificate or honor someone with a commemorative paver brick, tree or bench. These presents give twice – once to your loved one and once to the community by supporting future park programs, maintenance and preservation.

Grove City Parks and Recreation has something for everyone with activities and programs that offer physical, mental and social enrichment. From Big Splash season passes to sports registration, shelter rentals, crafts and cooking to exercise classes – and everything in between, a Parks and Recreation gift certificate allows recipients to customize their experience by age and interest.

Gift certificates are available for purchase in increments of $25, $50 and $100. Purchase through Thursday, Dec. 23, and receive a $10 bonus gift voucher for every $100 worth of gift certificates you purchase. The $10 bonus voucher must be used by Dec. 31, 2022.

Does your loved one enjoy gardening? An engraved paver at the Gardens at Gantz Farm is a unique, thoughtful way to honor someone while contributing to the enhancement of the park and improvements to the Gardens.

Does a special person in your life enjoy nature or walking in a park? A commemorative tree or bench at his or her favorite park is a great way to share that love, and provide beauty and comfort to the community for years to come.

Certificates are on sale in the Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Ave. The Grove City Parks and Recreation office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and can be redeemed any time after Monday, Jan. 3, 2022. More information on commemorative park donations installations can be found at
