Baseball & Softball Field Rentals

Grove City Parks and Recreation Department rents baseball (Windsor Park) and softball (Fryer Park) fields to youth travel organizations during the spring and summer when not already in use for City activities. Interested coordinators must complete a field rental agreement.

All past-due payments must be paid in full before a field can be reserved.

For multiple reservations (e.g., tournaments), an organization must provide proof of requirements to participate in the 2023 Field Rental scheduling lottery in January. Teams not meeting the sanctioning requirements or that want to reserve Fryer Park softball diamonds can make field reservation requests in writing beginning Feb. 1. These reservations are first-come, first-served.

Field Reservation Draft

The draft for fields at Windsor Parks is in mid-January. Coordinators must submit dates and time slots listed in order of priority.

  • Jan. 17: 13U-16U teams for Windsor Fields 10 & 11
  • Jan. 18: 11U-12U teams for Windsor Fields 1, 6, 10 & 11
  • Jan. 19: 10U and younger teams for Windsor Fields 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6

The draft:

  • Follows a “snake” format. The coordinator of the team determined by raffle to pick first receives their top priority. All others follow in the order determined by raffle, receiving their highest prioritized time that is still available.
  • Reverses in order each round, continuing until all requested times are assigned, with a maximum of 15 time slots reserved by any single organization.

The deadline to cancel a field rental and receive a refund is seven business days before the reservation date.
