Grove City Youth Baseball Programs
Grove City Little League Baseball registration is during the month of February.
Youth Fall Baseball registration is during the month of June.
Grove City Parks and Recreation youth baseball for the spring/summer season is affiliated with Little League® Baseball, the most recognized and respected name in youth sports. Registration takes place online 24-7 or in person during business hours in February. Children ages 5 through 14 are eligible to participate; all skill levels are welcome. Per Little League® International, age determination is based on the player’s age on Aug. 31 of the year of play.
Players who turn 15 through 18 between May 1 and Aug. 31 are eligible to play in Grove City Parks and Recreation’s Big League (not affiliated with Little League).
During March, interested players are placed on a waiting list. If added to a team, an additional $20 fee will apply for late registration.

General Baseball Information
Grove City offers baseball programs for local boys and girls age 5 through 17 in two seasons: spring/summer and fall. Registration is in February for the spring/summer league and June for the fall league. Parents or legal guardians register online or in person in the Kingston Center office during business hours. All participants are expected to act according to the Parent Player Code of Conduct.
For preschool baseball, Grove City partners with Bally Sports Group who provide basic T-ball instruction for ages 3-4 in Windsor Park on Fridays. Visit the Bally Sports website for details on their Little Sluggers program including times and registration.
Please have the following available when registering:
- Player’s birth date; a birth certificate must be shown for first-time baseball participants
- Proof of residency (i.e. current utility bill, current pay stub, bank statement) to be eligible for residency fee level
- Full payment fee
- Player’s uniform shirt size (both seasons) and pant size (spring only)
- Emergency contact details
- Estimated playing experience

Youth Safety
Ohio state law requires athletes, coaches and parents to review and sign off on information related to concussions and sudden cardiac arrest.
To enhance safety, Little League® International adheres to the USA Baseball® bat standards. Acceptable bats vary by age group, so please review before making a purchase.
League Determination
Little League® International sets aging dates annually. Ages are based on the players age as of Aug. 31. Please use the below chart to determine the appropriate league for your child. Little League provides an online league age determination tool to assist as well.
For ages 3-4, Grove City Parks and Recreation teams up with Bally Sports Group for basic sports instruction. Little Sluggers T-ball provides basic baseball instruction for preschoolers in Windsor Park on Fridays in spring (May-June) and fall (September-October) sessions.
Eligibility
Little League has strict residency requirements that Grove City must adhere to. Per Little League rules, any player who lives within the boundary of another Little League affiliate must play for that league (e.g., Galloway Baseball Club Little League); there is no grandfather clause. If a player does not live or attend school within the boundaries established by Little League for the Grove City organization or any other affiliate, a special application must be made to Little League administrators to play in the league.

Registration for Grove City Parks and Recreation fall youth baseball takes place each June. League assignments are based upon the player’s age on Aug. 31 of the year of play (see above chart). An additional $20 fee is assessed for late registration. The fall league is not bound to the Little League boundary map.
