2020 Summer-Fall Youth Baseball

Grove City Parks and Recreation is offering a summer-fall youth baseball season.

Registrations for all players signed up for the spring-summer leagues are applied to the modified-date league that will operate similarly to the traditional spring-summer league. Participants and coaches are expected to follow all regulations contained in the Youth Baseball Safety Protocol. These guidelines were submitted to and approved by the county health department to ensure the league complies with directives to facilitate the health of the community.

General Baseball Information

Grove City offers baseball programs for local boys and girls age 5 through 17 in two seasons: spring/summer and fall. Registration takes place, in person only, during business hours in February for the spring/summer league and June for the fall league.

Ohio’s Youth Sports Laws
For athletes participating in youth sports organizations (non-school sports), parents and athletes are required to review the concussion information information annually as well as information related to sudden cardiac arrest.


Please bring the following items/information with you to registration:

  • Player’s birth certificate (first-time baseball participants)
  • Proof of residency (i.e. current utility bill, current pay stub, bank statement) to be eligible for residency fee level
  • Full payment fee
  • Any information you need to completely fill out the application: be prepared to select a uniform shirt size and pant size (spring only) and to provide emergency contact details. Applications must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

Grove City Little League® Baseball (Spring-Summer)

Grove City Parks and Recreation youth baseball for the spring/summer season is affiliated with Little League® Baseball, the most recognized and respected name in youth sports. Registration takes place, in person only, during business hours in February. Children ages 5 through 17 are eligible to participate; all skill levels are welcome. Per Little League® International, age determination is based on the player’s age on Aug. 31, 2020. Players born May through August 2002 are eligible to play in Grove City Parks and Recreation’s Big League.

During March, interested players are placed on a waiting list. If added to a team, an additional $20 fee will apply for late registration.

IMPORTANT DATES

**Due to COVID-19, the spring-summer Little League season will not operate in 2020. A combined summer-fall league is being offered mid-July into October. Spring-summer registrations are applied to the summer-fall league. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to provide a positive baseball experience to the community.

Fall Youth Baseball

Registration for Grove City Parks and Recreation the fall youth baseball season takes place, in person only, during business hours in June. An additional $20 fee is assessed for late registration. League assignments are based upon the player’s age on Aug. 31 of the year of play.
