Join Grove City Parks and Recreation and Southwest Public Libraries for Mechanical Mayhem, free, hands-on-science experiences and fun with mechanics from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 5, at the Grove City Library, 3959 Broadway. Drop in for super, science fun and explore design and movement by making giant paper airplanes, rubber band-powered cars and wind tunnels. Mechanical Mayhem coordinates with this year’s COSI Science Festival, the largest STEM event in the nation, celebrated May 4-7. Take-home COSI Connects science kits are available May 5-7 at both the Grove City Library and the Westland Area Library, 4740 West Broad St., while supplies last.
The week of learning culminates 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, May 7, with the 2022 COSI Big Science Celebration, an exciting and fun celebration of science along the peninsula surrounding COSI, 333 West Broad St., including Washington Boulevard, Genoa Park, Town Street and Dorrian Green Park!
Don’t miss Visit Grove City and other organizations at this free event featuring dynamic experiments, incredible demonstrations and engaging hands-on activities. Hosted by Franklin County’s own science, technology, engineering and mathematics focused organizations, the Big Science Celebration is sure to provide entertainment and learning opportunities for the whole family.
