Grove City’s rich history comes to life with the 113th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, Company C, from the Civil War Encampment, part of Grove City’s participation in Ohio Open Doors, a program sponsored by the Ohio History Connection featuring daily events in participating communities throughout the state. The original company mustered in at Camp Chase Oct. 24, 1862, and included Jonas Orders who once lived on the land that makes up Fryer Park today.
