Mayor’s Court
Grove City’s Mayor’s Court hears all misdemeanor offenses that occur within Grove City.
- Exceptions include: second offense driving under the influence (OVI), second offense driving under suspension (DWLUS) and domestic violence (DV) cases.

When: Cases are heard Wednesdays and scheduled by category.
- 9 a.m. Failure to comply with previous court orders
- 10 a.m. Criminal cases and minor traffic arraignments
- 11 a.m. Cases requiring interpreters
- 1 p.m. Pre-trial cases
- 2:30 p.m. Driving under suspension, OVI and major traffic offenses
- 3:30 p.m. Trial cases

Proof of Insurance
It is the law in the State of Ohio that everyone must provide proof of insurance when asked by a law enforcement officer. If you did not provide proof to the officer at the time of your stop, you must bring proof to your court appearance or before you pay your fine. Proof of insurance is required on the vehicle you were driving on the date and time you were cited. Failure to provide proof may result in your license being suspended for a minimum of 90 days.
Appeal Process
If you are found guilty in the Grove City Mayor's Court you have the right to appeal your case to the Franklin County Municipal court, pursuant to ORC section 1905.23. You have 10 days (including weekends) from the date of conviction to file an appeal with the Grove City Mayor's Court.
