Spring Paper Shredding Day


When: Saturday, May 4, 8 am to 1 pm
Where: 
Park Street Intermediate School, 3205 Park Street

This event is made possible through efforts of Keep Grove City Beautiful in partnership with Ohio Mobile Shredding.

  • Grove City, Jackson Township and Urbancrest residents only, no businesses.
  • Limit of five boxes or trash bags per vehicle. All paper is securely shredded offsite.
  • Boxes or bags cannot be left after emptying paper in provided shredding bins.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal

Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) annual Household Hazardous Waste Disposal

When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 8 am to 1 pm
Where: Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Avenue

Accepted Items

  • Gasoline, lighter fluid, thinners, pool chemicals, fluorescent light bulbs
  • Propane tanks under 20 pounds.
  • All types of batteries and corrosives such as drain cleaners.
  • Oil based paint, liquid and spray
    • A $1 fee, per container, will be charged for dropping off any water-based paint.

Remain in your car during drop off, volunteers will assist by unloading your items.

Note: Latex and other water-based paint can be discarded with your regular trash after drying it by adding paint hardeners, cat litter or sawdust and leaving the lid off.

Franklin County residents can also take advantage of SWACO's permanent HHW collection site at 645 East 8th Avenue (at Essex Avenue) in Columbus, open Wednesday through Friday.

Jackson Township 2024 Seasonal Cleanup

Bulk Trash Disposal for Jackson Township residents, including Grove City and Village of Urbancrest:

When: April 29 through Oct. 4, weekdays, 8 am to 4 pm
Where:  Jackson Township Administration Building, 3756 Hoover Road

The service is not available on holidays. Residents must check in at the Jackson Township Administration office prior to unloading.

  • Accepted items:
    • Residential bulk trash, tires (limit of four) and scrap metal.
  • Items not accepted:
    • Batteries, motors, light bulbs, hazardous waste (chemicals, oils, and paints), TVs and monitors.

Electronic Waste

Residents can drop off electronics or e-waste:

When: Weekdays, 8 am to 4 pm
Where: Jackson Township Administration Building, 3756 Hoover Road

The service is not available on holidays. Residents must check in at the Jackson Township Administration office prior to unloading.

  • Accepted items:
    • Computer components, laptops, tablets and iPads/PDAs, cell phones, wireless routers, cable modems, chargers and cables, VCRs, Dish and Direct TV receivers, stereos and speakers.
