Youth Basketball Registration

Grove City Parks and Recreation offers basketball leagues for students in kindergarten through grade 12 focusing on basic skills and sportsmanship in a fun, positive environment. Boys and girls play in separate leagues.

Register in person during October in the Parks and Recreation Office in the Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Ave. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays, with extended hours until 7 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 30. Registration is by individual and includes a team jersey. Fees are $83 for Grove City residents and $88 for non-residents.

Teams practice one evening during the week with games on Saturdays. Practices start the week of Dec. 3 and the season opens Saturday, Jan. 5. Season-ending tournaments for grades three through 12 are held in early March. There are no games or practices when South-Western City Schools are closed for scheduled breaks or inclement weather.

Volunteer coaches are needed. No prior coaching experience is required, just patience and an encouraging attitude; background checks are performed on all coaches.
