The City of Grove City will begin utility work to prepare for the planned Town Center improvements including the new Southwest Public Libraries, Grove City branch.
The work involves three phases and includes projects by Columbia Gas, AEP, AT&T, Time Warner Cable, Wide Open West and other Grove City contractors.
Phase 1 – May to June
Columbia Gas and AEP are relocating and installing new lines and equipment. Limited service interruptions will be necessary, customers will receive prior notice.
Phase 2 – June to August
Grove City contractors will install conduit along Columbus Street and Grant Avenue, across Broadway, for use by multiple utilities.
Phase 3 – August to November
Utility companies will install their respective undergrounding through the conduit provided in Phase 2.
Water Main Improvements
Concurrent with the utility work for all three phases, water main improvements will be installed. Short-term interruptions will be necessary, property owners will receive prior notice.
Grove City Town Center Plan
City Administration participated in a Town Center Parking Forum hosted by the Grove City Town Center Merchants Association Wednesday, Oct. 28. At this meeting the City presented the information to help further the discussions surrounding the potential acquisition of land to accommodate future public parking facilities.

Construction delays may occur due to weather and re-routing of traffic will be necessary. The City will publish traffic changes via the City website, Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as the City e-newsletter.
