The City of Grove City offers residential leaf collection is underway through Friday, Nov. 30. New this year, the City has updated the map into four areas. Each area is assigned two collections. Residents choosing to have leaves picked up prior to or after their scheduled date can place leaves in yard waste bags/containers for collection by Local Waste Services on their regular trash pickup day. An alternative is mower mulching, providing lawn nutrients and natural fertilizer.
Homeowners should rake leaves to the curb in front of the residence prior to the first day of the designated week of collection. Collection crews travel each street once during the designated collection week. Rake leaves to the grassy area between the street and sidewalk or to the edge of the lawn, if there are no sidewalks. Do not rake or blow leaves into the street, this creates storm sewer blockages and parking issues. Leaf piles will not kill grass, although temporary fading may occur. Vehicles should not be parked in front of, or on top of, leaves during scheduled collection weeks. This collection is for leaves only. The equipment works efficiently on leaves, but easily damaged by other materials such as branches, twigs, grass clippings, rocks and other debris.

Planned collection dates may change due to weather conditions and when the leaves fall.
