Celebrate Independence Day 2017 with live music, fun and a community fireworks show in Grove City from 6 to 10:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 4 at Grove City High School, 4665 Hoover Road. The parking lot opens at 5:30 p.m.
Live entertainment provided by High South, an international harmony-rock band, from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by Grove City Christian High School and Alumni Band performing patriotic favorites 8:30 to 9:45 p.m., until fireworks fill the sky.
Seating is available in the stadium bleachers and in the areas outside the fenced-off blast zone.
Free children’s activities sponsored by the Grove City Church of the Nazarene are available from 6 to 9 p.m., including games, inflatables and a rock climbing wall on the Grove City High School training field. The Grove City Kids Association is offering parking for $10 a vehicle and free children’s activities from 4 to 8 p.m., at Murfin Field, 4570 Haughn Road.
The fireworks show starts at approximately 9:50 p.m. with a simulcast soundtrack airing on radio station Qfm96, WLVQ-96.3.
All carry-in items are subject to search. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Blankets, lawn chairs and most other personal items are permitted.
The following are prohibited: grills, alcohol, weapons, personal fireworks including sparklers, skates, bicycles, skateboards, pop-up tents and canopies, and pets other than service dogs. Coolers are not permitted in the stadium. Tailgating with grills, flatbed trailers and recreational vehicles are prohibited.
Parking is restricted to one side of the street in the following neighborhoods: Briarwood Hills, Hoover Crossing, Martha’s Woods and on Clark Drive from 5:30 to 11:45 p.m. Free parking is available at Grove City High School, Grove City Church of the Nazarene and Windsor Park.
Hoover Road will close to southbound traffic from White Road to the Nazarene Church beginning at approximately 9:40 p.m.
- All traffic exiting the north High School exit will be directed north on Hoover Road.
- All traffic exiting the south High School exit will be directed straight across onto Gershwin Avenue.
Hoover Road will close to northbound traffic from Holton Road to the Nazarene Church at approximately 9:40 p.m.
- All traffic exiting the Nazarene Church will be directed south on Hoover Road.
- Eastbound Orders Road traffic will have to turn right heading south.
