Registration for Grove City Parks and Recreation Department fall youth baseball is open during the month of June. Sign up at Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, June 29.
The office will be open until 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 26.
Boys and girls ages 5 through 17 are eligible to participate. League assignments are based on the player’s age. The player’s age is based on his/her age as of Aug. 31, 2018 for those born Sept. 1, 2005 or after. For players born August 30, 2005 or earlier, the player’s age is based upon his/her age on April 30, 2018. Fees for residents of Grove City or Jackson Township are $38 per player for T-ball through Minor 7-8; $58 for Minor 9-10 through Big League. Participants who reside outside Grove City or Jackson Township corporate limits may join the league, but are required to pay an additional $10 non-resident fee.
Bring full payment fee as well as proof of current Grove City residency (i.e., utility bill, check stub and bank statement). Each player receives a cap and T-shirt, please be prepared to choose a shirt size and provide emergency contact information. The registration form must be signed by a legal guardian. If you are registering for the first time, please bring the participant’s birth certificate to confirm date of birth.
Practices begin Monday, July 30, and opening day for the 10-game season is Saturday, Aug. 18. Games are held at Windsor Park, 4330 Dudley Avenue or 4408 Broadway. Grove City follows Little League® International bat restrictions utilizing USA Baseball guidelines; please review all bat rules before registering your child or purchasing equipment.
Volunteer coaches are needed; download the application or pick one up at the Parks and Recreation office in the Kingston Center.
Paid umpire positions are also available.
