Registration for Grove City Parks and Recreation Department fall youth baseball is open during the month of June. Sign up at Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, June 28. The office is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 25.
Boys and girls ages 5 through 17 are eligible to participate. League assignments are based on the player’s age as of Aug. 31, 2019. Fees for residents of Grove City or Jackson Township are $38 per player for T-ball through Minor 7-8; $58 for Minor 9-10 through Big League. Participants who reside outside Grove City or Jackson Township corporate limits may join the league, with an additional $10 non-resident fee. A $20 fee is applied for late registration.
Bring full payment fee as well as proof of residency (i.e. utility bill, check stub or bank statement) to show eligibility for the lower rate. Each player receives a cap and T-shirt, so please be prepared to provide a shirt size and emergency contact information. The registration form must be signed by a legal guardian. If registering for a Grove City baseball league for the first time, please bring participant’s birth certificate to confirm date of birth.
Practices begin Monday, July 29, and opening day for the 10-game season is Saturday, Aug. 17.Games are held at Windsor Park, 4330 Dudley Avenue or 4408 Broadway. Grove City follows Little League® International bat restrictions utilizing USA Baseball guidelines; please review all bat rules before registering your child or purchasing equipment.
Volunteer coaches and paid umpire positions are needed; download the application or visit the Parks and Recreation office in the Kingston Center.
