The Gardens at Gantz volunteers host the 2020 Spring Symposium, “A Greener Planet, One Garden at a Time,” 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, March 28 at the Evans Center, 4330 Dudley Ave., Grove City. Join participants as they celebrate 50 years of Earth Day.
A host of featured speakers present on topics herb enthusiasts are sure to enjoy. Lecturer and author Bobbie Schwartz, an award-winning landscape designer, will speak about summer and fall bulbs as an extra dimension for landscaping. Herbalist Susanna Reppert-Brill will present distilling herbs for essential oils and floral waters. MaLisa Spring, the state coordinator for the Ohio Dragonfly Survey Museum of Biological Diversity, will instruct on gardening for dragonflies. Greg Payton, Director of Living Collections at Dawes Arboretum, will demonstrate how to choose the best landscape plants for Central Ohio gardens.
The Gardens at Gantz Symposium is sponsored by the Gardens at Gantz Farm Volunteers. The $45 program cost includes course materials, continental breakfast and a lunch featuring herbal dishes. Vendors will be on hand offering an assortment of garden products for sale. Pre-registration is required by Friday, March 13.
