Grove City Parks and Recreation is registering participants for fall indoor youth volleyball leagues through Friday, Aug. 30. Kids will experience teamwork and learn the skills and fundamentals of youth volleyball. Registration must be completed in person 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Kingston Center, 3226 Kingston Ave. Each participant is registered as an individual and assigned to a team.
Leagues are available for grades three through 12 in the following divisions: junior (grades 3-4), intermediate (grades 5-6), middle (grades 7-8) and senior (grades 9-12). Girls and boys compete together. Practice starts the third week in September. Games begin in late October with an eight-match season followed by a tournament. The cost is $60 per player, $65 for non-residents, and includes a team T-shirt. Registration forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Volunteer coaches are needed; complete a Youth Coach Application and return it to the Grove City Parks and Recreation office.
