Grove City's Balloons & Tunes
Balloons & Tunes is Grove City's annual hot-air balloon festival.
Members of the Central Ohio Balloon Club provide the opportunity to learn about hot air ballooning. Tethered balloon rides, glows and ascensions are all scheduled, weather permitting. No outside food or beverages are allowed. Cigarette smoking and pets other than service animals are prohibited as well.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to enjoy the entertainment and experience a spectacular view of the balloons as they launch (weather permitting). The balloon glows begin at dusk on Friday and Saturday evenings. As the sun sets, attendees have the opportunity to see the hot-air balloons up close as they light up the sky.
Keep in mind that hot-air balloons are very sensitive to weather conditions and safety is our top priority. Balloon rides, launches and glows are subject to cancellation because of weather, including high wind. Live entertainment, childrens activities and other elements of the festival will continue even if the balloons are unable to launch.

Balloon ascensions and balloon glows are scheduled during the event. There are also balloon ascensions scheduled on Saturday and Sunday morning (all balloon activities are weather dependent).

Balloon Flight and Tethered Rides (6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, weather permitting)
Tethered rides are available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is $5 each/per person.
Price and reservation information for balloon flights will soon be available on Real Adventures Hot Air Balloon Company website.

Mount Carmel Up and Away 5k
The first-ever Mount Carmel Up and Away 5K, was an exciting addition to Grove City’s annual Balloons & Tunes hot air balloon event in 2011. Start training now for the 2012 race on Saturday, Aug. 25. Runners and walkers are welcome at this unique event featuring a hot-air balloon launch (weather dependent). All proceeds benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank.
