Grove City Council’s Art Concern presents “People, Places, Things,” an art exhibit showcasing Bob Tanner’s use of art and study to illustrate his current works.
Tanner’s diverse oil paintings span many experiences including his service during the Korean War and work as an architectural artist, scientific illustrator and graphic designer. Retirement has allowed him time to travel with sketch pad and paints close at hand documenting his creative and artistic explorations. His current works share some of the people, places and things he has encountered.
Tanner is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including the permanent display of his Tuskegee Airmen Series, part of the Supreme Court of Ohio contemporary fine art collection.
Tanner’s art is on display through Thursday, April 4 at City Hall, 4035 Broadway, in historic Grove City Town Center.
Join us for a special evening to meet the artist, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28.
The exhibit is open to the public, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., weekdays or by appointment. Call Tami Kelly at 614-277-3065 for additional information.
