Turn in unneeded or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications for safe disposal from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, April 27 at the Jackson Township Fire Department, 3650 Hoover Road. The City of Grove City, Drug Enforcement Administration, Grove City Division of Police, Jackson Township Fire Department, Keep Grove City Beautiful and Giant Eagle partner to host this event to ensure safe, legal and environmentally conscious disposal of medicine in all forms. Prescription, over-the-counter and pet medications in pill, powder or patch form are accepted. All medications must be removed from packaging and placed in a clear, sealed bag. Grove City Police, in partnership with the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators, installed a Rx Drug Drop Box in the Grove City Safety Complex lobby, 3360 Park St. The box resembles a mailbox and is available for anonymous disposal of medicine in pill or powdered form day or night. Note: needles, lancets, syringes, inhalers, aerosols, liquids, creams, pastes, Rx bottles and pill packaging are NOT accepted in this drop box.
