Join Gold Star family members and WWII Medal of Honor recipient Hershel “Woody” Williams to dedicate the Gold Star Families Memorial Park at the southeast corner of Broadway and Columbus Street, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 16. Williams, the last surviving Medal of Honor recipient from the Battle of Iwo Jima in 1945, returns to Grove City to speak about the completion of the park and what it means to Ohio’s Gold Star Families. Williams established the Hershel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, to honor the families of those lost in service to our country.
