24th Annual Homecoming Celebration
Grove City’s 24th annual Homecoming Celebration is the gathering place for Grove City High School alumni and the Grove City community to come together and reminisce with friends and neighbors from 6 to 10 p.m., Friday, July 26 in historic Grove City Town Center.
Live entertainment with Jacked Up from 7 to 10 p.m., features all of today’s country music favorites. The annual Homecoming Hall of Fame induction ceremony, by tournament founder Steve Carr, is during the band’s intermission.
Several Grove City community groups provide a variety of concessions during the event.
The sixth annual Cornhole Tournament, sponsored by Grove City Tomorrow is from 6 to 8 p.m. featuring a first-place prize of $300 and $100 for second place. Registration is $50 per two-person team. Broadway will be closed from Grant Street to Grove City Road. Park Street will be closed from the City Hall driveway to First Street. All streets will close at 3 p.m. and reopen by 11 p.m.
This event is planned in conjunction with the Grove City High School Alumni Softball Tournament, often billed as the largest alumni softball tournament in the world. Teams play at fields throughout Grove City on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28. For more information on the softball tournament, visit the Grove City High School Alumni Tournament website.
