Big Run South Bridge at I-270
The Big Run South bridge over I-270 on the southwest side will be closed, from just east of Demorest Road to just south of Alkire Road, starting Monday, July 21 for reconstruction, weather permitting.
Lane closures on I-270 should be expected during overnight hours. Temporary closures will also occur as needed.
Visit the Ohio Department of Transportation District 6, Daily Impacts to Traffic page for up-to-date traffic information.
Grove City Town Center | Civic Place Parking Expansion
The City of Grove City recently purchased the house at 4302 Civic Place, abutting the parking lot just north of the Grove City Community Club. The purchase was completed to expand parking and improve Town Center pedestrian connectivity. In addition to removing the house and expanding the parking lot, the project includes several enhancements.
The expanded parking lot will have new lighting, bicycle racks and a lighted brick pedestrian corridor to Broadway. The corridor will be the new location of “The Heartland of Grove City” mural formerly on the corner of Grant Avenue and Broadway.
The parking lot north of the Grove City Community Club will close Monday, July 7 for approximately 90 days. Civic Place and First Street will remain open during the project with temporary closures. The alley between the parking lot and Broadway will become one-way south and parking will not be permitted.
Temporary closures will also occur as needed.
2014 Grove City Street Program
The Street Maintenance Program protects the City’s investment in the street infrastructure by maintaining and repairing City streets. Studies show that maintaining streets is five times more cost-effective than re-building them after they have failed.

White Road Closed for Phase 3 Construction Through October
The western phase of construction on White Road from Hoover Road to McDowell Road runs through the end of October, weather permitting. Improvements include new pavement, curb, sidewalks and waterline.
The project has two closure phases. The posted detour route for westbound motorists on White Road will follow McDowell Road north to Stringtown Road, west to Hoover Road, south to White Road. Eastbound motorists will follow the same detour in the opposite direction. Motorists should expect increased congestion and delays during construction.
Visit the Franklin County Engineer's website for project updates.
Drivers are encouraged to use extra care when traveling through the construction zone.
