Town Center Street Repairs
The City of Grove City has contracted with Columbus Asphalt Paving to complete curb and street repairs on Broadway. The primary area of repair is between Cleveland Avenue and Kingston Avenue. Repairs will be completed in the following phases.
Repair Phase 1: Curb repairs on the west side of Broadway are complete.
Repair Phase 2: The full depth repairs of deteriorated asphalt sections on Broadway between Kingston Avenue and Cleveland Avenue are complete.
The full depth repair areas were left a little low, and patch areas were “ramped” to the existing asphalt using cold patch asphalt material. The purpose of this was to allow for the cold patch to be easily removed by hand prior to milling. This helped keep the milling machine from damaging the concrete once the street was completely milled.
Repair Phase 3: Curb repairs on the east side of Broadway are complete.
Repair Phase 4: The final phase will involve milling and paving the asphalt on Broadway between Cleveland Avenue and Kingston Avenue. The following schedule is tentative and weather and equipment dependent.
At this time, the concrete strips at select brick crosswalk locations will be replaced after paving. This phase will take approximately two weeks, not including weather delays.
