Experience Gantz Park’s full summer foliage with an enjoyable summer bike ride beginning and ending at the park with Grove City Parks and Recreation Director Kim Conrad and members of the Grove City Park Board. Route can be adjusted so all ages can enjoy. Meet in the shelter by Gantz Barn at 9 a.m.

 Youth Volleyball Registration Continues Monday, August 25 
Grove City Parks and Recreation offers a fall indoor volleyball league for youths in grades four through 12 in the following age divisions: junior (grades 4-5), intermediate (grade 6), middle (grade 7-8) and senior (grades 9-12). Players register in person by individual before Friday, Aug. 29. Cost is $55 per player (NR $60). Practices start the first week of October, with games starting by the end of the month. Dispose of unneeded dangerous items that cannot be put out with the regular trash at a collection sponsored by SWACO and City of Grove City at the Broadway Shopping Center between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Materials such as flammable fluids including propane tanks under 20 pounds and non-latex paint and paint products, reactives such as pool chemicals, corrosives including drain cleaners, toxics like pesticide, and fluorescent light bulbs. Among items not accepted are: appliances, computers, ammunition, medical wastes, household cleaners, and car oil, batteries and tires. This collection is not for businesses. On the first Friday of December, community members unite for an evening of fellowship and celebration of the holiday season. Visit with Santa, watch a block of ice transformed into a holiday icon, listen to carols from local singing groups, view the traditional Christmas parade, and much more.
